About Us

We are Derek (15), Morgan (19) and Brad (21) Labadini from Concord, Massachusetts. Together with the help of our friends we have created Unite with Light and here is our mission:

Unite with Light is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. Our goal is to organize an annual event in Concord and Carlisle that brings the community together and raises money to be donated to a charity for children. On a designated evening in December/January, those who have purchased the Unite with Light kits will light luminaries on property frontage to connect our yards to each other, to connect our community. The luminary kits contain white, wax coated paper bags, and candles. Each kit costs $20 and contains ten luminaries. Unite with Light was started by children and the logistics of the event will be accomplished with youth volunteers. This is an important part of our mission because we feel that the opportunity for children to participate in something fun, beautiful, and philanthropic will not only add to the energy of the event, but be the energy of the event. The materials for each kit cost $3 allowing us to donate $17 of each sale. In our first four years we were able to donate over $52,000 to children's charities. In our fifth year, our project goal is that 1,500 households will support this event. We hope this charitable event helps to further unite our community and support children.

This year the funds raised will go to organizations that support mental health services for children in honor of Chase Bjork and all those fighting mental illness.
